About the Role
As the Head of Housing Operations, you will take the reins of our Resident and Estates Service, providing strategic and operational leadership across Tenancy Management, Independent Living, and Income and Leasehold functions. Your task is to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services within budget, while adopting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing key housing strategies and policies, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice, and driving efficiencies across all operations.

In this central role, you will oversee a £40m rent roll, manage key contracts, and collaborate with partners to enhance service delivery. Your strategic insight will support our Housing Transformation Programme, ensuring that digital solutions are embraced to streamline processes and improve resident experiences.

About You
We are looking for a seasoned housing professional with a Level 5 qualification in Housing or equivalent, backed by extensive experience in housing management. You should have a proven track record of leading teams, managing budgets, and driving service improvements. Your ability to navigate the complexities of local government and housing regulations, coupled with strong strategic and operational acumen, will be essential.

You excel in performance management, are adept at cultivating a high-performing team, and have a knack for developing innovative solutions to complex challenges. Your experience with income management, tenancy management , and policy development will set you apart. Above all, you are a resilient and inspiring leader, ready to make a lasting impact on the lives of Stevenage residents.
